In AF Advisors’ semi-annual ‘Top 10 report’, we provide an overview of the changes within the
most popular investment categories and rank the ten best funds available to retail investors in
the Netherlands.
Morgan Stanley is particularly successful in this edition with high rankings in the following categories: Global Emerging Markets Large Cap, Global Large Cap and US Large Cap. Robeco continues to distinguish itself in the field of High Yield and occupies the top two places in this category. It is remarkable that the model-based (QI) variant takes over the first place from the regular variant.
Equity markets have made strong gains in the last quarter. On average, stockprices rose 20%, recording their best quarter since 1998. Many active funds seem to have correctly estimated the effects of COVID-19, in particular the subsequent monetary and fiscal stimulus, and added additional risks to their portfolio. This also explains the descending of many passive products.
