Pitfalls to be avoided when outsourcing backoffice

AF Advisors’ partner Saskia Leonard has written an article together with independent consultant Norbert Wagemans about the possible pitfalls that could appear when outsourcing the backoffice. The article appeared on Fondsnieuws.

Currently, 30% of the Dutch asset managers have outsourced their backoffice. Globally, this figure stands at 70%. Increased law and regulatory requirements coupled with pressure on costs will result in further outsourcing of backoffice in the Netherlands. However, this trend brings additional risks which diminish the probability of successful implementation.
