Asset managers can have a completely different interpretation of the same risks. The question then becomes: is investing a science or astrology?

The asset management industry employs many smart individuals. Asset managers use highly complex models and theories. The result is a view about the investment policy which is followed to create value for clients. However, these views are not always the same and lead to different decisions. How can that be if investing is supposed to be a science (rather than astrology)?
