AF Advisors’ partner Jasper Haak has published an article on Fondsnieuws about the unknown people behind the largest Dutch actively managed investment funds.
The fund managers of the 10 biggest Dutch actively managed funds, which are also available for retail investors, have something in common. Jasper states that these managers, besides managing more than a billion in assets, are unknown in the wider public, are predominantly men and have not beaten their benchmarks in the last three years.
According to Jasper, the Netherlands does not have the culture of ‘star fund managers’ as is the case in the United States. None of the Dutch managers come close to Bill Gross, neither in terms of popularity nor performance.
