From Jan. 1, 2023, retail investment funds, including UCITS, must comply with the PRIIP Regulation. This means that asset managers, who offer investment funds to retail investors, will have to comply with the new guidelines for, among other things, the risk indicator and fee schedule in the key information document (EID). Despite the fact that the legislation has long been announced, not all asset managers are prepared for this new legislation. This seems to be the result of limited support for these changes by asset managers and the many changes the legislation has seen over time. This article is only available in Dutch.
