Dirk-Jan is a partner at AF Advisors. He completed his law studies at Utrecht University in 2011, and subsequently completed various specialized training programs, including the Grotius Academy at Radboud University Nijmegen, and he is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at TIAS Business School.
Dirk-Jan has gained extensive experience in the financial sector, with a particular focus on fiduciary management, (operational) asset management, and pension funds. He possesses significant technical/legal knowledge and project management experience in the areas of treasury & trading products, private debt, the Dutch pension reform (Wtp), and asset management in the broad sense. Additionally, he has provided extensive advice on the implementation of financial regulations. His knowledge and experience enable him to provide broad strategic, operational, and legal advice to pension funds, service providers, investment funds, and asset managers under various circumstances within the business lines of AF Advisors.
Prior to joining AF Advisors, he worked at Simmons & Simmons LLP as a financial markets lawyer in Amsterdam, New York, and London, and later as Head of Legal and in other leadership roles for Pensioenfonds PGB.
Dirk-Jan has been working at AF Advisors since April 2024 and has been active in the sector since 2010.
