Frédérique is a Director at AF Advisors. She holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics from UCL (University College London), England and a BA (Hons) degree in Law from the University of Cambridge, England. She is an English law qualified lawyer with over 20 years post-qualification experience.
Frédérique’s focus over the years has been mainly on cross-border debt financings, investment grade corporate credits, project financings, acquisition financings and real estate backed lending. She has extensive experience in advising financial institutions, private credit funds and corporates and has been involved in complex, multi-sourced financings.
At AF Advisors, Frédérique advises pension funds, service providers, investment funds, asset managers and corporates on the legal and regulatory aspects of financial transactions and contractual arrangements, including from a strategic and operational perspective, across both direct and fund investment structures. Her practice focuses in particular on private debt as an asset class, including the structuring and negotiation of private debt transactions and related instruments.
Prior to joining AF Advisors, Frédérique worked as a finance lawyer at Allen Overy Shearman LLP and Simmons & Simmons LLP in London and Amsterdam. More recently, she set up her own consultancy, providing legal services primarily to A&O Shearman as well as to smaller scale-up and start-up organizations in the Netherlands.
Frédérique has been working at AF Advisors since January 2026 and has been active in the Dutch legal market since 2000.
