Implementation of CO₂ policy in investment portfolio

Hugo Elsing writes in an article on Investment Officer NL about measuring the carbon footprint of an investment portfolio. Driven by sustainability ambitions, more and more asset owners want to gain insight into and reduce the carbon footprint of their investment portfolio. However, it is often not possible to robustly determine the carbon footprint for all investment categories in the portfolio. A process to unambiguously determine which asset classes are in scope is valuable in this regard. The article describes several factors that are important in such a process.
